Well, it's Tuesday today and the long and wonderful Easter weekend is over. Jesus Christ is risen, Hallelujah!
Josh didn't have that great of a weekend. My cowboy was sick on the couch for three days straight. I think he slept more than he was awake. I felt so bad for him seeing him so sick. It makes you realize how precious life is and how just a fever can bring a grown man down and practically immovable. I would like to say that he was the only one that was sick but our baby Harper was sick too. Unfortunately, it spread to Easton as well and today the two babies are still sick with fevers. At some point, Easton crawled in bed with us last night and his body was so hot I barely slept. He's been mostly laying in my bed this morning watching Curious George on my tablet. Poor kid!

It's funny how sickness affects each person differently. Josh just gets hit like a Mack truck and cannot move. Kendall and Easton are the same way. Harper will still smile and play on the floor even if she's not feeling good. I'm the same way. If I'm sick, I just carry on - unless it's the flu, then I'm laying in bed as long as Josh is home at the same time and not working.
One of the worst things with being a mother is getting sick with the kids at home and you're all alone. There's been several times in the past few years that I've gotten sick after Josh has gone off to work. And since he works more than 70 miles away, he can't just leave and be home 10 minutes later. Luckily, my awesome mother in law works across the street at the school and could come if things got really bad. It's hard to ask for help when I'm down. Maybe it's pride. Maybe it's not wanting to bother other people. But sometimes it's such a relief when someone can help you out in the time of need.
Stay healthy this spring and I hope this Easter season brings joy and peace within your home!
