It should look like this when all the pages are folded down. Fold rest of pages in half to the left. It will look like this..... Take bottom triangle... Tuck the little triangle in the pocket. It should look like this all folded together. | Fold front cover in half towards the right. Keep folding away! ...and this. ...and crease it upwards. Crease and tuck in the rest of the pages. Stand up on it's end, fluff and....Ta-Da!! A Tree! |
Add embellishments as you like. I used some double stick tape on top instead of glue.
You have a beautiful up-cycled magazine Christmas Tree!
This project is really relaxing and even fun to do with kids. It took me about a 1/2 hour to complete the tree with the embellishments. These trees look especially neat when you have magazines of different heights and you stand them together in groups. It's a great way to use those old magazines that have been sitting in your rack for over a year. I believe there were about 90 pages to this magazine. The more pages you have in the magazine, the fuller the tree will look, however it will also be harder to fold. Experiment and have fun!
