Welcome! This is officially Day 1 of my blog! Hopefully soon, this site will be filled with recipes, craft projects, and other random lovelies I encounter each day.
You will see that my recipes have substitutions for eggs and dairy because I have an intolerance to both animal products. Am I vegan all the way? Well, no. I love meat and believe that it's healthy for you. However, my intolerances have sent me on a cooking and baking adventure for the past 4 years to come up with healthy yet yummy subs for my beloved eggs and milk. I think you will be pleasantly surprised by many of my recipes and how truly delicious they are!
Also, I hope to blog about my craft projects that I do and hope to inspire other people to do the same.
I'm a stay at home mom that lives in the little town of about 250 people which is 40 miles from the nearest grocery store. It wasn't always this way. I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin--a city of approximately 800,000. I met my wonderful husband 4 1/2 years ago and moved to a little town in wide open spaces Wyoming.
As my blog says, I'm "city slick to country chic"! I love fashion and clothing, but making high heels work out in the country can be a pain at times. It's not fun getting your spiky heel stuck in manure, if you know what I mean. But I make lemonade out of lemons and make the best of it. On those long days when I'm crying over my high heels long packed away, I put on a pretty dress -with leggings of course, in this intensely windy state-, slap on some make up, and pull on my cowgirl boots. The mentality out here is "Put on your big girl panties and Cowgirl up!" I will put on my big girl panties and cowgirl up, but I will do it with my Louis Vuitton bag and glass of wine in my hand!
